Job Description
"The Deli Slicer is responsible for accurately slicing, weighing, and packaging deli meats and cheeses using commercial deli slicing equipment. This position requires prior hands-on experience operating deli slicers, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial deli slicing equipment to slice meats and cheeses to specified thickness and weightAccurately package, label, and present products according to company standardsMaintain a clean, sanitary, and organized slicing area at all timesDisassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble deli slicers according to food safety and equipment guidelinesFollow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety proceduresMonitor product quality and rotation to ensure freshness and complianceWork efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and consistencyProvide professional, courteous service when interacting with customersCommunicate effectively with deli and market team membersWillingness to learn and fulling a clerking role as needed
Required Qualifications & Experience
Ability to slice products consistently to customer or company specificationsStrong attention to detail and cleanlinessAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionReliable attendance and strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
