"WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING A PART TIME SALES ASSOCIATE FOR OUR BLOOMINGDALE'S 59TH STREET MEN'S LOCATION

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION

The Sales Associate is responsible for achieving all objectives set forth by the company. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service and adhering to visual merchandising and operational standards.

Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities

Achieve daily, monthly, and annual sales targetsEstablish relationships with clients and manage communication consistent with James PerseEnsure the highest standards of client service are maintained at all timesMaintain the selling floor, merchandise and store standardsParticipate in special events and or projects as needed (i.e. Sample Sale, Physical Inventory, etc.)Adhere to all store and company procedures while maintaining operational and client experience excellenceAll other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience

Some heavy lifting requiredHigh attention to detail and reporting accuracy to ensure exact reporting of inventoryWorking Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, namely Word, Excel, and OutlookRetail Pro experience preferred, however is not required. Working Knowledge of Inventory maintenance programs preferredPossesses the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyPossesses excellent communication skills

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED requiredCollege Degree preferred

Experience

Prior experience in a retail/boutique store dealing with high-end goods, and clientele-oriented salesExperience working in retail environment(s) with 7 days a week operation, which require open scheduling availability based on business needs. College Degree preferred

Competencies Required

Candidates must also be outgoing, energetic, professional and good representatives of our brand and be able to emanate the James Perse brand lifestyleStrong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and writtenStrong independent work ethic, excellent time management skills, and high level of integrity

PAY TRANSPARENCY

This position pays $16.50 per hour plus commission on personal net sales.

Please note: Candidates for this location must be approved for hire by Bloomingdale’s, which subsequently will employ and pay all wages, benefits, commissions, taxes, and other payments to the associate pursuant to Bloomingdale’s policies and procedures, and applicable state and federal law.
