Logistics & 3PL Manager (12-Month Maternity Cover)Location: London, UK (Office-based)Duration: 12-month fixed-term contractStart Date: March 2026Salary: £38,000 – £42,000 per annum
Role OverviewWe are looking for a highly organised and strategic Logistics & 3PL Manager to join our team for a 12-month maternity cover. You will lead our global logistics operations, overseeing a complex inbound network from over 40 factories to five global destinations, while managing our outbound team. This is a pivotal role that balances hands-on coordination with high-level strategic planning, including 3PL management and significant cost-saving initiatives.
Major ResponsibilitiesInbound & Customs ManagementManage all inbound shipments across five separate destinations, coordinating with over 40 global factories.Liaise directly with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure seamless transit.Audit and ensure all shipment documentation and invoices are accurate, complete, and compliant with international customs regulations.Address duties, tariffs, and customs issues, actively seeking ways to reduce shipping and logistics costs.
3PL & Warehouse OperationsLead the setup and integration of third-party logistics (3PL) providers, including onboarding and WMS/IMS system alignment.Determine and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities.Identify high-cost areas within current arrangements and propose strategic, cost-saving alternatives.Manage warehouse negotiations and play a lead role in planning and executing warehouse relocations and system migrations.
Strategic Planning & EfficiencySupport the outbound team in forecasting and inventory planning to meet customer demand.Responsible for managing all packaging orders, ensuring that inbound and outbound requirements are met for all new launches.Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels across the main warehouses (WHS) and all retail store locations to prevent out-of-stock scenarios.Initiate projects to improve cost efficiency, such as clearing obsolete goods and planning for stock reduction.Analyse and compare costs for new warehousing and logistics setups to drive strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional LeadershipManage and lead the Logistics Team.Act as the primary point of contact for all operations-related matters across Merchandising, E-commerce, Marketing, and Wholesale.Assist with new entity setups and support integration with new distributors.Coordinate logistics for special events, including seasonal distributions and sample sales.
Candidate RequirementsRight to Work: Must have the permanent right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship for this role).Location: Must be based in London.Experience: Proven experience in a senior logistics or operations role, ideally within a fast-paced retail or fashion environment.Technical Skills: Strong understanding of 3PL integrations, WMS/IMS systems, and international customs/tariffs. Software: Highly efficient in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) is essential.Negotiation: Experience in warehouse contract negotiation and freight tender management.Leadership: Ability to manage a team and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all departments.
