Position SummaryWe are seeking a full-time Men’s Knitwear Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and creative professional with experience in men’s knitwear—experience with fully fashioned sweaters is a plus—and a strong understanding of the premium golf and lifestyle market. In this role, you will play a key part in the seasonal development process, from concept through production, ensuring that every product reflects the Holderness & Bourne aesthetic and standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities· Conduct market and trend research with a focus on golf relevant and premium style driven knitwear.· Create seasonal concepts, sketches, and presentation boards that align with brand identity and merchandising strategy.· Collaborate closely with Technical Design, Sourcing, and Production teams to develop and maintain detailed tech packs, including sketches, construction notes, and fabric/trim details.· Communicate daily with overseas factories on color, fabric, trim, and sample for development and production to ensure accuracy and timely approvals.· Maintain an organized design room archive of fabric swatches, trims, and reference materials, and ensure all corresponding line sheets are accurately updated.· Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, and Marketing to ensure cohesive execution from concept to final product.· Adhere to seasonal design calendars and development milestones.· Support additional projects and initiatives as needed to advance the design team’s objectives.
Qualifications· Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.· Minimum 5 years of experience in men’s design, with a strong focus on knitwear.· Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel; experience in 3D design software (CLO preferred) is a plus.· Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabric properties.· Experience with fully fashioned sweaters is a plus.· Elevated sense of style, proportion, and color; ability to translate trends into the Holderness & Bourne aesthetic.· Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize effectively, and consistent follow-through.· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
