Role SummaryWe are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support our buying and merchandising team. This role will work closely with senior buyers and vendors to ensure the right product mix, smooth procurement, timely deliveries, and accurate tracking across the supply chain.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in fashion buying, merchandising, and sourcing within a high-growth D2C brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuying & Product SupportAssist in product selection aligned with current trends, customer demand, and brand directionSupport in planning the right product mix across categoriesTrack market trends, competitor products, and pricingPurchase Order & Vendor ManagementCreate, process, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) accuratelyCoordinate with vendors on pricing, MOQs, timelines, and delivery schedulesAssist in vendor negotiations and cost optimizationsMaintain strong day-to-day communication with suppliersOperations & TrackingMaintain shipment and delivery trackers (production, dispatch, ETA, GRN)Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time deliveryCoordinate with warehouse and operations teams for inwarding and quality checksData & ReportingMaintain accurate buying data, cost sheets, and vendor recordsPrepare weekly reports on PO status, delays, and inventory movementUse Excel to analyze sales trends and buying performanceSkills & Qualifications
Must-Have1–3 years of experience in buying / merchandising / retail operationsStrong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas)High attention to detail and strong organizational skillsGood communication and follow-up skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Good to HaveExperience in fashion accessories, jewellery, apparel, or lifestyle categoriesUnderstanding of sourcing, lead times, and vendor coordinationExposure to D2C / e-commerce brands
