Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly capable HR specialist to drive our people strategy, stabilize operations, and guide the organization through a critical growth stage. This role goes beyond administrative HR functions; it requires a strategic partner who can ensure compliance, develop scalable systems, and foster a high-performance culture in a dynamic startup environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company’s vision and business objectivesEnsure full compliance with California and multi-state labor laws, tax regulations, and employment standards, proactively mitigating risksBuild and optimize scalable HR operations, including payroll, benefits, performance management, and compensation structures.Strengthen employee relations by building trust, resolving conflicts, and driving employee’s engagement initiativesLead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to support rapid business growth.Lead the employee discount sales channelPartner with executives to design organizational structures and support data-driven decision making.Drive compliance reporting, audits, and required filings.
Preferred QualificationsStartup, e-commerce, or food distribution/manufacturing industry experience
QualificationsMinimum 3+ years of HR management experience with proven expertise in both strategic planning and hands-on executionBilingual in Korean and EnglishStrong understanding of California and multi-state employment laws, wage and hour regulations, and compliance requirementsDemonstrated success implementing HR systems and scalable process in high-growth or startup environmentsExcellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills with a focus on building trustAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization with high levels of ownership and problem-solving skills.
