We are looking to hire a Design Assistant that will play a vital role in our product development team - creating qualitative technical and lifestyle outdoor garments!
About The Role
As a Design Assistant within our Apparel team you will work to support the team in designing and developing functional and sustainable outdoor products that are aligned with Fjällräven’s design philosophy. You will support in creating designs that embrace the company’s vision to create the most loved gear for a lifetime in the outdoors. The position will work with both technical and lifestyle outdoor garments in collaboration with the Apparel R&D team, as well as a cross-functional product development team.
The position is a 1 year temporary position and will be based in our office in Solna and report to the R&D Director.

What You Will Do
In more detail you will focus on the following:
Create and maintain product sketches and tech packs of new and in-line products in collaboration with the R&D design team.Create and maintain seasonal collection boards and overviews.Work with Centric PLM.Take part in creating and maintaining seasonal colours.Labdip requests, approvals and communication with suppliers.Graphic strike-off requests, approval and communication with suppliers.Work towards and support on key seasonal milestones and presentations.Work closely with product developers & pattern makers to ensure tech pack accuracy.

You are passionate about sustainability and the outdoors.You have a degree in Design (Apparel, Industrial or Textile Engineering)You are creative and solution-oriented.You have proven ability work in a structured and systematic way.You have excellent English communicative skills, both written and spoken.You have a strong track record of delivering according to planned schedules and milestones in time.You are experienced using programs: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, Word, Excel, and Outlook.You are collaborative and comfortable with working in a team-based work structure.You are knowledgeable about the outdoor market and products.You are self-propelled, motivated and initiate and generate action.You have experience working in CLO or other 3D patterning programs (not mandatory).
