Job Description
"Company Description
Morning Made is five years in and already one of the fastest-growing coffee-alternative brands globally, scaling across Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S. Our mission is simple: build a more mindful, healthier morning ritual for the next generation. We’re a startup at heart—obsessed with pace, clarity, and execution. We move fast, make decisions with imperfect data, and build systems that scale. You’ll be joining us at a critical inflection point as volume, doors, and complexity ramp hard.Experience: 3–5 years in demand planning / forecasting / supply planning within CPG, food, beverage, or FMCG (multi-channel required)
About the roleOwn demand forecasting and inventory planning for a hyper-growth consumer brand operating across ANZ and the U.S.This role is the nerve centre between sales, marketing, operations, and manufacturing. Your job is simple but brutal: get the numbers right enough, early enough, to keep shelves full without blowing cash or margin. You’ll build the forecasting muscle while actively running it—no ivory-tower planning here.
What you’ll doOwn demand forecasting at SKU × channel × market level (retail, e-comm, foodservice).Translate demand into executable supply plans: production runs, capacity signals, and inventory targets.Build and run a lightweight S&OP cadence—aligning sales, marketing, ops, and finance.Partner with sales & marketing to model promos, launches, resets, and door growth.Track forecast accuracy, bias, and inventory health (DOS, weeks of cover, slow movers).Pressure-test assumptions and surface risks early—before they become stockouts or write-offs.Support scenario modelling for growth plans, retailer upside/downside, and capacity constraints.Build forecasting tools, dashboards, and planning hygiene as the business scales.
What you bring3–5 years in demand planning, forecasting, or supply planning within CPG / food / beverage.Strong grasp of retail dynamics: ROS, promos, launches, distributor behaviour, and seasonality.Commercial mindset—understands how forecasting impacts cash, margin, and working capital.Comfortable working with imperfect data and fast-moving inputs.Excel/Sheets power user; experience with planning tools a plus (not required).Direct, accountable, and allergic to fluff—calls problems early and owns outcomes.
Why this matters
Get this role right and everything else scales faster: ops, cash flow, retailer confidence, and margin. Get it wrong and the whole machine grinds. This is a high-impact role with real ownership, real stakes, and a clear path to senior planning or supply leadership as we scale.
