Position Summary
For our new counter at Ludwig Beck we are looking to hire a passionate and energetic Counter Manager. The Counter Manager will provide excellent product knowledge, sales and customer service skills to meet and exceed the brands service and sales goals and lead a team of Retail Artists. The Counter Manager will have an entrepreneurial, flexible spirit, a passion for clean and sustainable beauty and are a true ambassador for Westman Atelier both in relation to the customer and to the store management.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Service
Achieve required retail sales targets as communicated by the line managerClosely monitor business and analyze results to recognize areas of opportunity and growthDemonstrate excellent product knowledge and the ability to communicate this to the customerUse your exceptional people and conversational skills to stop and engage customers and introduce them to Westman Atelier. Link sell to help grow Items Per Transaction and Average Basket ValueKeep up to date with competitor activities and missed opportunities, communicating these to the line manager and proactively create strategies, in collaboration with the line manager, to create a continuous growth of the brandDrive animation and events on counterDeliver excellence in execution of the Westman Atelier service standards
Team Management
Lead and manage a team of Retail ArtistsCreate monthly team rotasLead the team through artistry skills and selling skills, train and coach the team to support the development of their skillsBe the first point of contact for any HR related questions and challenges
Product & Artistry
Showcase excellent makeup skills, fitting with the unique Westman Atelier product applicationShowcase excellent product knowledgeEnsure all educational information is used and initiatives are correctly implemented and followed upAttend and actively participate in training meetings, virtual or at-counter, as provided by the Sales and Education TeamActively participate in and complete online learning
Grooming & Procedures
Present oneself within the standard of personal grooming guidelines as specified by Westman AtelierMaintain high standards of timekeeping on the counterAdhering to the Westman Atelier standards, Policies and Procedures Ensure the counter maintains excellent VM standards and is regularly cleaned and restocked.
Communication
Communicate regularly and effectively with in-store staff and personal keeping them informed as well as being updated on all actions/eventsBuild a close relationship and work partnership with the in-store category managers and to provide trends, insights and critical business informationWork effectively with store personnel, store management and corporate sales and education teamsOversee and record regular stock overviews and OOS, to ensure best sellers are regularly replenished. Recording and reporting all OOS to the manager and help follow up to ensure timely and regular replenishments are made. Ensure the following is regularly communicated to the line manager:Weekly sales reportsMonthly sales reports and overview Store updates and Events Regular feedback on the overall store performance and in-store environment
Requirements:
3+ years of management experience in a similar role in the beauty industry. Strong people skills and people management are essentialTeam player with a positive outlookStrong strategic thinking and decision-making skillsPassionate about clean beautyExceptional customer service skillsMakeup artistry skills with the ability to connect artistry and education to salesFlexible schedule and available to work weekendsAbility to work independentlyEffective planning, organizational, and time management skillsProficient in Word, Excel, PPT and proficient in Google Drive preferred
