Job Description:

The communications lead at Orient Electric is responsible for the PR, content, and Internal Communications mandate across all our business verticals. You will be responsible for our leading our storytelling across multiple channels and enhancing our brand reputation among external and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will closely partner with HR to build a vibrant employer brand. While being an IC role, you need to closely coordinate with internal content and social media teams, external agencies, and leadership team at OEL to bring this alive.

To be successful in this exciting role, you must:

Demonstrate superior communication skills across a range of channels knowing what and how to communicate keeping in mind our brand voice and cultural valuesOwn relationships with senior executives across the business seeking their feedback and influencing them through your expertise and ideasManage multiple relationships well- external as well as internal and have a keen eye to spot stories and bring them alive


Responsibilities:

Corporate Brand Initiatives

Strategize and execute the corporate reputation build-up strategy including building the messaging house and key messaging pillars for OEL, driving stakeholder engagement and reputation building initiatives, building deep media connects and executing the weekly, monthly and quarterly initiatives with the PR and digital agency partnersCreate a community of experts and key influencers and develop a thought leadership based relationship with them to promote the brand’s initiatives Manage media engagement for quarterly results for the leadership and key public disclosures like the Annual ReportDevelop high quality thought leadership articles, press notes, press releases and product notes among othersCreate a calendar for participation in awards and industry forums for leadership team to enhance overall reputation


Business Unit Initiatives

Drive market leading share of voice across each product line in both regional and digital media Plan impactful product launches with media for maximum coverageDevise regional and localised PR strategy with a mix of paid, own and earned media to support brand reputation in identified geographies


Digital

Develop a wholistic content strategy and a repertoire of content for each category that can be used to drive media uptake as well as drive thought leadership through own channels. Support driving traffic to the website and social media community build up with content initiativesCreate, develop and manage hybrid media relationships and manage PR newswire and other such services. Measure and Improve Qualitative and Quantitative outcomes per campaign


Internal Communications

Develop and drive communications framework to engage and inspire employees around the company’s vision, values, business objectives and milestones to become brand ambassadorsDevelop channel strategy to deliver the messaging framework to reach employees with information they care about Develop and embed internal communications charter into all employee facing materials to inform and educateProvide counsel to leaders to help them effectively engage and partner with varied business teams including HR to develop effective communication strategies that energise and engage teamsPartner with HR and recruiting teams to drive inspirational communications around employer branding to help retain existing employees and recruit best-in-class talentPartner with social media and BU marketing teams to develop strong internal communications components of major external announcements


Ideal Experience

We are looking for someone with 8-10 years of experience in the PR and Corporate Communications with a creative bent of mind, agile and willing to try new ideas. Prior experience in consumer durables or D2C brands will be an advantage."
