About the Company
The History Press brings a new way of thinking to history publishing—preserving and enriching community by encouraging history enthusiasts to write local stories, for local audiences, as only a local can. Infused with local color, titles published by The History Press showcase a community's character through story and picture. While useful as resources for research and preservation, we see our books as touchstones for community identity, and for that reason, we are committed to validating community histories that national houses and university presses too often have ignored. Our books are highly readable, often brief and aimed at a general readership.
